Private Events at The Audition Room

Your own room in Center City

The Audition Room is Recipe Philly’s private dining room. Companies book it for team lunches, client dinners, and holiday parties. Families book it for engagement parties, milestone birthdays, anniversaries, and rehearsal dinners. It seats 35, or up to 50 for a standing reception, and it’s available seven days a week.

Order food and beverage for your group and we waive the room rental fee.

The menu

Individually plated and family-style menus run $60–$75 per person, plus applicable sales tax and gratuity. Share your budget and the occasion, and our kitchen will build a custom menu around it. Add coffee and soft drinks, a bar package, or accommodations for dietary needs.

Food is served in the private dining room overlooking City Hall or the adjacent space, depending on your group size and format.

Breakfast meetings

We’re open for lunch and dinner, and we’ll open early for groups booking a breakfast.

Why it’s called The Audition Room

Before Recipe Philly served its first plate, this room hosted the live competition that built our menu. Chef Clara Park, Chef Jennifer Carroll, and Josh Eats Philly sat at these tables judging dishes from 60 Philadelphia home cooks. Nearly 40 of them made the final menu. The name stuck because the room earned it.

Room-only rentals for meetings

Need the space for a working session without a meal? The room is available on its own in blocks from a few hours to a full day, typically between 8:30 am and 5 pm. Morning rentals include water and full coffee service. Full-day rentals add iced tea, cold brew, and energy bars for an afternoon break. Add a catered lunch or dinner and the room fee is waived.

Monday-Friday | $1,500 half-day | $2,800 full-day

Saturday-Sunday | $2,200 half-day | $3,800 full-day

Plus applicable sales tax and gratuity.

Corporate meeting amenities

Spacious restrooms, WiFi access, and a lobby area for calls and breaks. A/V equipment available for a small additional fee. A dedicated event guide handles planning and runs the room on the day.
